The IWC 3522, better known as the Mark XVI, is the current pinnacle of a long line of pilot watches from IWC. The line of Pilot watches is one of the major assets of IWC, and aviation has been linked with the brand almost since the dawn of commercial aviation. In this example we see an IWC Pilots Chronograph 3717 replica with this kind of misaligned subdial layout. It looks too centered and too „compressed". (Too much for a replica) With inexperience judgement, I am unable to see if this watch is a real one or a replica. I have check the DateYourIWC applet online and the summary given are as stated: The movement is a LÈp. calibre 49, dating from the year 1888. Watch Brands. It introduced a bigger size (38mm stainless steel case, from 36) and replaced the previous Jaeger LeCoultre movements with an IWC movement. After many years an Omega fan, i have grown tired of their continuously larger and larger cases. Each year i await and get dissapointed, therefore i am considering another route - either the MARK XVI or the newer XVIII. From my understanding they both used the IWC cal.30100 - which is an "IWC modified" ETA 2892.

Now that I'm starting to look into the details of the watch, I'm deciding between a gen IWC Calibre 30110 ETA2892-A2 movement or gen dial to install onto my Mark XVI. What do you guys think? The Stowa is a simple classic and wonderful for the price.
