I have this awesome Swiss fake 1857, marked Wm. Eblerk, and in all regards trying hard to be an 1860s Wm. Ellery The dial has me puzzled. It's a 3 foot dial not the typical 2 foot that usually appears on the swiss fakes. Mods if you feel this might be better suited to the European watches please move. I bought this Swiss fake 1857 movement for I think under , it was. Swiss made collectable Waltham fake. Low serial number model 1857. This 11 jewel movement is a classic example of Swiss watch manufacturers copying American movements to trick unsuspecting buyers. In this case the Waltham model 1857 was famous and well know as the first mass produced watch movement with interchangeable components.

The Dial has three feet, The balance cock and plate under the dial are marked with the number 63. The full movement number is also stamped on the plate under the dial.
Sounds like it might be a Swiss fake. These were sold in the US without a Swiss made marking until 1871, and after that until 1900. There are fathers who do not love their children; there is no grandfather who does not adore his grandson. ~ Victor Hugo
